For free stock photo resources and more, read this Friday Finds blog. Having people in the picture also makes a photo more memorable and interesting. Your image should be more than just generic clipart. To keep your course looking neat and professional, don’t mix and match clipart and photos.

In PowerPoint 2007 / 2010, choose Insert > Image > Clipart option to search for and choose a background image to add to a plain white slide. I searched for “butterfly” to find this picture. With the image selected, on the Format tab, choose Picture Effects > Glow. Add Some Clipart Images. Add A Background.

There you’ll find a variety of buttons, character poses, ClipArt, Flash activities, online media, music, and status indicators. This brings up black guides which will show you the original picture (grayed out) versus the cropped image.

Maybe we “shake things up” by changing a little (fewer bullets and more clipart on our PowerPoint?) Create a focus group on customer service by starting a blog (using Blogger or WordPress ) and asking “Customer Service Experts” in your organization to participate. After all, we are the professionals. If it’s not broke, why fix it?

The Rapid Elearning Blog. What restrictions are there to using clipart ( changed or unchanged) in commercial products. However, I would like to point out that as far as I know the editing of the cliparts is not allowed. Microsoft does not own the cliparts. vertical/horizontal/ color black and white/ clipart and photo etc.
