GeoLearning’s GeoMaestro is a LMS that packs a wallop but at the same time has some features that provide limitations. Label Manipulation (on the front end, created by admin) – A nice to have (but becoming common). The Wizard pops-up and with a few simple clicks by the administrator on what they want, it is created.

Most of it came, via 3rd party providers, or what we referred to as “boutique shops” – think custom development (fee-based) that someone, company, government, institution, and so forth hired to create a course or courses. Could someone create a course at said company? Wanted people to buy your courses you created?

One vendor identifies themselves as a LGMS – Learning Game Management System, another states they can create within their system and launch – 3D ILE courses (ILE – Interactive Learning Environment). Two vendors – Plateau and GeoLearning products will be reviewed and presented to you in the next three weeks.

The LMS – Let’s Set The Record Straight

The Comments I posted on my LinkedIn Learning thread about this upcoming blog post and one about whether you really needed an LXP, and the comments rolled in. As in time of need, this is precisely why an LMS was created. The dominant player in each of those shows was an LMS, followed by a learning platform. My LMS did, back in 2000.
