TiER1 Wins Five 2023 Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards

TiER1 partnerships with Takeda, Philips, and Kroger bring home awards

TiER1 Performance Solutions is honored to receive five 2023 Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards in partnership with clients Takeda Pharmaceuticals, Philips Healthcare, and The Kroger Company. These awards recognize our innovative approach to talent management and learning and development, and we’re looking forward to attending the HCM Conference in early 2024.

In partnership with Takeda, we received top recognition in two categories for the Takeda in Bloom project.

Learning and Development Awards

  • Category: Best Approach to Implementing a Learning Experience Platform (LXP)
  • Award: Gold

Talent Management Awards

  • Category: Best Advance in Corporate Culture Transformation
  • Award: Gold

Takeda’s aspires to create an environment that fosters a culture of lifelong learning and a growth mindset to enable employees to thrive inside and outside of the organization.

Beginning in 2021, Takeda embarked on a cultural transformation to enable a culture of lifelong learning across their global organization of more than 50,000 employees throughout 80 countries.

Although there is still much to accomplish, Takeda’s transformation plan is well underway, with the implementation of a global communications and engagement plan, launching of two new learning technologies, and establishment of a robust governance structure to enable an exceptional, consistent learner experience.

In partnership with Philips Healthcare’s Hospital Patient Monitoring, we received top recognition for their Clinical Learning Journeys project.

Learning and Development Awards

  • Category: Best Customer Training Program
  • Award: Gold

Philips evolved its approach to customer education, offering a blended learning experience through their Clinical Learning Journeys. These provide flexible, personalized, and relevant education for clinical staff that exceed regulatory requirements. The new model is founded on interactive eLearning that’s role-centric, task-oriented, and available on demand, providing new opportunities to track progress toward competency.

In partnership with The Kroger Company, we received top recognition for Project Passion.

Learning and Development Awards

  • Category: Best Use of Blended Learning
  • Award: Gold

In 2021, Kroger Health identified two key needs: (1) to support the desired future of pharmacy as personalized, collaborative, value-based, and patient-driven; and (2) to address immediate pain points their pharmacists were facing because of the pandemic and other industry challenges. Through comprehensive discovery and design phases, the eventual outcome was Project Passion, a 12-week blended learning and change management experience for pharmacists and their teams that reached far beyond training to address associate well-being, recognition, connection, development, communication, ways of working, and learning.

We also received recognition alongside Kroger for their Ongoing Connections Reimagined Performance Management Approach project.

Talent Management Awards

  • Category: Best Advance in Performance Management
  • Awards: Silver

In 2022, Kroger undertook a project to evolve its performance management program to unlock more value for both the organization and its nearly 50,000 associates in leadership roles who participate in Kroger’s performance management process. The resulting approach, called Ongoing Connections, is both simpler to execute and more meaningful and impactful to those involved. As a result, Kroger has aligned its performance approach to what matters most to associates and improved overall performance completion year over year.
