He founded the computer-based course authoring tool Authorware in 1984 and later formed Macromedia through a merger which was then bought by Adobe Systems. Michael Allen and I sit down and discuss the Zebra program at ASTD conference way back in 2011. We were spending millions of dollars on courseware development.

We use research and experience as a guideline, then reserve enough resources to modify our programs, perhaps several times, based on realized outcomes with our learners in the context in which they learn and perform.
