Remember Lotus 1-2-3? For those of us, who experienced the late 80s when Floppy Discs ruled, and then used Lotus in the 90’s, the memory of such a solution, is easily forgotten (although I did take an online course using only Lotus Notes, in 1998). I would love to know who is still using Lotus Notes 6.5.

It’s not ideal and honestly, you would rather have a dedicated person, but budgets are budgets. For me, I’d say, if you have a budget line item to hire this important resource do it. That said, if you have 10,000 plus employees, and again, have budget line items for two or more administrators, then go for it.

Popular ones included Lotus Notes, Blackboard and WebCT. Rather then charge students more – to offset their budgets – expansion in targeting outside of their region/country for students makes business sense. In the biz sector it is e-learning, but often referred by some folks as online portal, online university, etc.
