Often, these posts have 287 or more responses from LMS vendors, each claiming they offer the best solution, given the overwhelming evidence provided in the original 2-sentence help request. They’ve hit a wall with features that don’t accomplish what a vendor promised. LMS vendors have vastly different licensing models.

Q : I am curious on why Cornerstone On Demand, Saba and SumTotal do not appear in your top twenty lists even though they appear on other sites as the best products in the market. My latest take on those three vendors (plus one) are: Cornerstone On Demand – I have seen the new UI and I like what I saw. Am I missing something?

Please remember for TM or as some vendors like to pitch as “performance management or knowledge management&# , the modules are extra and are not part of the system (at least for now). One vendor who isn’t on the list, for multitude of reasons, accepts over 25 payment gateways — that is enormous in size for this industry. There are vendors who include a payment gateway for those who don’t have one, but the catch is that they charge a transaction fee along with point of sales per item sold fee.

This makes no sense in my book, because you could have 500 users and have a high budget for training and equally you could have 5,000 users and your budget is slightly higher than 35 candy bars. I always love vendors who constantly update and enhance their system multiple times throughout the year and eLogic is no exception.

I’d rather have someone whose sales are up even 25% over the previous quarter as a result of the courses, than showing me that you are saving me 10% in your budget – which is also a positive. LMS vendors had the option to create a video demo of their product without any sales pitch whatsoever. Sales drive business.
