Bottom Line Technologies that were created for the populus, or business outcomes, or specific entities, have in the past, been tapped in the learning and training markets, including e-learning.

The result was a nice mix of both specific software for getting the work done and advice and suggestions related to running a freelance business. Elluminate , WebEx , Centra , LiveMeeting , Project Management. Business Operations. ” and 100 comments later, there was quite a list. WordPress , Moodle , Drupal. Blackboard.

This was accomplished using Bupa’s Saba Centra virtual classroom platform. Bupa Live originated as a business project at the very top of the organisation, with the aim of ‘creating one Bupa’ across the global business. These stories then form the basis for the modules of the course.

Must adapt to the new way of doing business. Web conferencing or chat rooms – I know it might come as a shock but WebEx was alive and in full mode in 2000 and so was Centra – remember them? Meeting the new ways of doing business. Must evolve as technology evolves. Talent and performance mgt. E-Commerce. HRIS module.

*Full disclosure--I am a professor in the department and might be biased in my opinions but I am going to try to stay neutral* First, Cammy said, "maybe ID programs need to come out of business schools instead of education schools." The Bloomsburg program is not out of the business school but it is not in the School of Education either.

This announcement comes on the heels of Saba acquiring Centra. Personally I like its focus on 'on-demand learning' and its Services Oriented Architecture as I think generic content is a tough business to be in. Plus Saba + Centra creates a US$100M revenue company which is not too shabby!
