It can enable organizations to build a repository of knowledge from various departments, access expertise from those who are not always vocal, receive input on problems usually left for senior leaders to solve and ultimately generate better business results. In fact, even in cases where the organization did not put hard rules in place for a crowdsourced project, the employees developed their own social norms. The largest contributors are gatekeepers of quality.
