Danny Seals (@thedannyseals) tells us in his recent article that L&D needs to learn how to ask the right questions when people come to us with a business challenge. We must lead with curiosity and a desire to understand the challenge with empathy. I like his suggestion for a “new” mindset that includes curiosity, empathy, and a thirst for knowledge.

Making long-term memories in minutes: a spaced learning pattern from memory research in education
The data from this study shows that Spaced Learning is more efficient than standard teaching methods. One of the most interesting things from this is how quickly encoding to long-term memory can happen — in time scales of minutes! For example, the chart above illustrates that one hour of instruction through Spaced Learning had a significantly greater impact than 23 hours of traditional teaching over the course of four months.
