I’ll be the first to admit, that I was not a big fan of the previous versions of the Plateau system. After viewing the Plateau TMS, my concerns in one area have been eliminated, in others, not so much. Plateau LMS is a Talent Management System, made up of four modules. Plateau Learning. Plateau Performance.

Oracle then followed suit by acquiring SuccessFactors who had acquired Plateau in the past. I’m sure the people who had purchased Plateau or even SuccessFactors Learning system were delighted to hear the news. I’m not sure, but if you look at some of their competitors, it would make strong business sense.

I include Learning Portals, LCMSs, as part of the mix. Big Dog (Saba, SumTotal, Plateau, Cornerstone OnDemand, Learn.com). Extended Enterprise – System must have e-comm, multi-tenet – fully skinnable, additional functionality. Made specifically for business. These standout to me. Categories. Razor thin?

If I am a potential customer, I would expect nothing less to come out of the vendor’s mouth on their product and user friendliness. Nobody, if they want to stay in business. Some vendors who have failed to deliver, in my opinion, a user friendly system, due to front end or back end (admin side), or sometimes both.

Indeed, many traditional eLearning vendors ventured into the market though not in the volume or with the fanfare we had postulated twelve months ago. Time has proven us wrong on this prediction as it relates to OnPoint’s direct and channel business efforts around the world. Not Validated ("Strikeout").
