While the demand for HTML5 courses is yet to catch up, the demand is growing stronger nevertheless. We believe at this stage it is the iPad driving eLearning to HTML5. Among the current key rapid authoring tools are: Adobe Captivate – Not for the dilettante, being priced at some £1,750. Adobe has had to address HTML5 issues and, no doubt, will embrace the issues posed by the up-and-coming Tin Can. Lectora will publish both Flash and HTML5 for Apps and rendering through iPads and smartphones.

Feature sets – they have to be more than PPT to Flash or add an audio clip and video clip to the course. Mobile Learning/HTML5 output – doesn’t hurt and has to be considered. It pitches that it is a m-learning product because it supports HTML5. It doesn’t output to HTML5, though. #8

With the ever growing telecomm or working remote approach (and I am even talking about FT employees), globalization and the push to in the “cloud&# , it makes strong business sense to follow suit. Remember when only a few offered the PPT to Flash option in their tools? They output only to HTML5. Projection. What happened?

Vendors who hand you a product (trial) and their business card or they just have their items in a bowl and you grab one. It is a serious problem in our space, and goes across all products and business size. Their small business one, frankly was stripped down and basic and not worth the cost. TK 11 Products.
