Last week I presented a session at ASTD TechKnowledge entitled eLearning 2.0 - Applications and Implications. I've not really seen good examples of business cases (future ROI) for using these tools. So, yes, you have to set up policies and alert people just like you do around any form of electronic communication (email, IM).
