For those new, each year, I publish what I see will be the top 10 systems for the coming year, based on a set of criteria (which will be listed shortly). When a system says they are forward-thinking, a roadmap really comes into play. Learning Systems is an umbrella term.

T his post covers a list of systems that I’d recommend on any given day, that based on nearly 20 years of experience in online learning, and witnessing the trends, the duds, the promises and disappoints. What it isn’t – is a list of systems based on a 15 point criteria that I use for my Top 50 for 2020. That said, I will say to you, that before you just buy the learning system, please, please do due diligence on the system.

The notion of types of personalities, aligns in some ways with types of systems, in that there is a lot of leeway in terms of what it actually means, with some folks saying this, when in fact it is that. . There is no better place to see this then our fine world of e-learning, which was devised to be an umbrella term for everything that is well, online learning. NexGen Learning Systems T-Grid 2019-20

Nowadays every learning system vendor out there will tell you their system is Next Generation or some nuanced spin that goes towards NexGen. The problem is that for most of the systems, it just isn’t the case. This is due to a couple of key factors: They do not know what constitutes a system to be NexGen.
