What is a sales enablement platform and why if they pitch it for sales training, does it offer customer service training too? Focuses heavily on “sales training” push BUT also customer service training too. Most customers use them for sales training and customer support training. What is this versus that?

This ‘only a well known’ argument is similar to one I hear in regards to buying a system that doesn’t have any customers in XTZ, so therefore it can’t be good. The first to use SumTotal. Some vendors are now tossing in a free custom domain – which rocks, but does not slide under my minimums.

The challenge though is that there are customers who have no desire and zero interest to use or have a TM in their system. Even if it is integrated at no additional charge, there are customers who will never use it. Continued increase in the number of vendors, regardless of size or target customer size (i.e What do you do?

DVD to video conversion for creating courses. Integrate with web based e-mail calendars – Gmail and Hotmail. Custom domains (big increase in last few months). People often ask me why I seem to dog the big players in the space, ala SumTotal, Cornerstone and alike. Desktop sharing (appears with a few vendors).

How many of you have had hundreds of comments as a result of these questions, and than rather than solve it, create only more confusion? Custom domains – rather than have yourcompany.vendorname.com, some systems are now offering custom domains so that your learners see whatever name you create.com and remove the vendor name.
