Here’s attempt number two… Our team shares a cptx file that we use as a course “template” – it’s not a Captivate template file type, however. Within the Quiz Settings, if you click Configure the Manifest dialog is displayed. and then publish the file. (We We create solely software simulations.)

Whenever a comparison of eLearning authoring tools is published, Captivate still is considered to be the best tool for creation of software tutorials. That has been indeed the primary goal when Captivate was released many years ago. There are many alternatives to Captivate’s Video Demo. It is a normal cptx project.

One exception: embedded buttons on Quiz/Score slides cannot be shape buttons, so I use transparent buttons for those. The SVG, activated as button, has all the features of shape buttons: can be used on master slides, can be timed for the rest of the project (not in Fluid Boxes), can be added to quiz and score slides as extra button.
