Quiz attempts

Adobe Captivate

Hi Everybody, I’m working on an eLearning that will have a quiz at the end. If the user doesn’t score enough points, it should be able to start the quiz again and after that they have another attempt. So you have the attempts immediately on the slide but I want them to run the quiz completely and than have the option to do the quiz again. Thanks in advance (i’m running the latest version of Captivate).

Custom, Accessible Quiz: Development Highlights

Adobe Captivate

I recently posted a showcase – a Custom, Accessible Quiz. This was a shorter, rewritten and rebranded version of a fully customized, yet accessible quiz I created for a client. If you haven’t tried it already, it will help to understand the rest of this article if you try out the quiz before reading further. It’s at: elearning.adobe.com/2019/01/custom-accessible-quiz. For both scenarios, I used a single slide to communicate the introduction to the quiz.

Adobe Captivate: Troubleshooting LMS Woes

The Logical Blog by IconLogic

A Captivate developer created a nifty eLearning lesson complete with a quiz, advanced actions and some nice navigation features. While I had never used her LMS, I have successfully posted and tested several Captivate lessons to myriad systems. Stymied, I appealed to the Adobe Captivate forum in search of anyone who had successfully dealt with her specific LMS. And then a quiz. We got the stripped-down version of the project to work. We

Creative with Quizzing System Variables

Adobe Captivate

In my last post I mentioned that, based on the visits to my blog posts, Quizzes in Captivate seem to be one of the stumbling blocks for newbies. Most of the quizzing blog posts with focus on default quiz slides are already pretty old. The most visited post on my blog will be updated in a near future, to accommodate recent changes in Captivate. This use case has been explained more in detail in an older article (Buttons on question/score slide). Intro.

Captivate 2017 and Responsive Design. Personal Experience

Adobe Captivate

I have created a microlearning project to test new responsive features of Captivate 2017. I only wish that Captivate had a separate tab for fluid boxes. The new version of Captivate has less font customization options for responsive projects. In the old breakpoint system, you could adjust the font on smaller screens, and it would not impact the main desktop version. Also, if you preview a project on your phone, Captivate might adjust the font to fit the screen.

Fluidize your Quizzes

When publishing my first reflections on Fluid Boxes work flow versus Breakpoint View work flow I didn’t mention my expectations for a smoother creation of Quiz slides using FB’s. Simple Anatomy of SCORM-based E-Learning

The version of SCORM doesn't matter for this simple explanation. Many times the learning content contains a quiz as well. E-Learning development tools like Adobe Captivate, Lectora, or Articulate do all of this for you. Interactivity in Software Tutorials?

Adobe Captivate

Whenever a comparison of eLearning authoring tools is published, Captivate still is considered to be the best tool for creation of software tutorials. That has been indeed the primary goal when Captivate was released many years ago. I have been choosing it many years ago (with version 1) for that feature as well. There are many alternatives to Captivate’s Video Demo. I think about merging with 360 slides, real quiz slides, adding links to other assets etc.
