Whenever a comparison of eLearning authoring tools is published, Captivate still is considered to be the best tool for creation of software tutorials. That has been indeed the primary goal when Captivate was released many years ago. There are many alternatives to Captivate’s Video Demo.

As I explained in the mentioned blog post, the term ‘Learning Interactions’ was introduced to distinguish the widgets compatible with HTML5 output from the older ‘widgets’ which were created for SWF output. A Captivate interactive object means: It has an Actions tab. Terminology can be confusing.

When I tested as preview in the computer it works without an issue but when I publish in htlm5 – the score do not appear- only the name of the variable. that value will later be use in the scenario… so I am doing some testing pages but I can get the variables to work. Hope makes sense or maybe is a easy way to make it ?

One exception: embedded buttons on Quiz/Score slides cannot be shape buttons, so I use transparent buttons for those. The SVG, activated as button, has all the features of shape buttons: can be used on master slides, can be timed for the rest of the project (not in Fluid Boxes), can be added to quiz and score slides as extra button.
