Ten years later, life was good because we had another delivery model available, the CD-ROM allowing us to train individuals. Yes, we theoretically had this back in 1987 with paper-based materials, but we looked at the CD as a substitute for classroom instruction. Global Networking (finding any info at any time from all over the world) Artificial Intelligence (affective computing, computer can personalize based on who you are) Peer to Peer Technologies (instead of teacher being in charge -- people are learning from each other. Then the world wide web.

would grow to dominate in what was then a desktop/CD-ROM world. I started using del.icio.us and Yahoo MyWeb to save bookmarks - locally saved favorites seem rather limited now. Instead, I now need to get smart on things like community, networks, personal knowledge management and other such topics.
