Venture capitalists funded scores of eLearning companies, most of which disappeared in the dot-com crash a few years later. Remember Digital Think, SmartForce, Pensare, NETg, KnowledgeNet, UNext, Docent, One Touch, Centra, InterWise, and their brethren? Training is not the same as learning. Real learning takes place elsewhere.
