Myths about online learning

I think many of these myths can be applied to corporate e-learning. I'm thinking here about a vodcast with group communication around its content. Or, a video in a classroom with active discussion.]. Myth : Online courses are OK for learning Microsoft Word, but you cannot possibly teach real science (which translates into higher thinking/very technical content in the corporate world). Myth : Online courses will empty the classrooms. It’s not learning.

Google-Assisted “Search� Learning…but pls don’t say “according to Google�

Although it is a huge part of my personal learning and work environment I’m just well, blah. While some would argue that a Google search is not ‘real learning,’ search (and other) tools from Google appear to have pedagogical uses. The ubiquity of the platform is what makes it worthy of consideration for supporting workplace learning. For language learning, Google has Language Tools.
