The lab combined the work of existing standards organizations like the AICC , IMS and the IEEE LTSC into a cohesive reference model. One of the biggest differences between AICC and SCORM is the way that each communicates with your LMS. AICC sends HTTP messages to your LMS, while SCORM communicates with JavaScript.

I worked with business analysts, IT and communications teams on governance for these new technologies. IEEE also specifies USB and WiFi and a host of other standards we take for granted but help ensure things “just work” as expected. I worked with ADL from 2003-2006 and participated in the Technical Working Group afterwards.
