With her focus on the main tools that have grabbed “global imagination” namely, Twitter, Facebook, Blogs and Wikis, Jane Bozarth writes a lucid, eminently readable account of what technology has to offer in terms of Social Media tools and their position in the sphere of learning. Hardly ever. Imagine the ROI in this case.

One of the best ways to capitalize on the knowledge formation section of the learning curve is to hold training events in which the learners need to formally train each other on certain areas of expertise.

My guess is that implementation methodology will suit the organization attempting the process, but confident the sequencing to be somewhere downstream from the formal training event where we plant the seeds of knowledge and skills. I hasten to add; however, that social media does not represent a silver bullet solution.

Typically, it’s an event, on a schedule and completion is generally recognized with a symbol, such as a grade, gold star, certificate or check mark in a learning management system.
