The recent addition of related terms (relationship factors) in eLearning Learning that show what how related terms are to a given result set provides some interesting insights. I already pointed to some of the Interesting Information that we could see as we compare what different bloggers write about. Some of these are no surprise, but others such as Yugma made me notice that version 4 is out, hence people are talking about it more than usual.

The solutions organizations are looking for include blogs, wikis, and communities of practice. The CoP companies we talk with tell us that their businesses are booming (Tomoye and Mzinga being two which focus heavily in this space). We just surveyed 800+ worldwide training directors and CLOs and found that 83% feel they have a significant or urgent need to change their learning programs to deal with the learning styles of younger workers.

I discussed a bit of these issues in First Thoughts After ASTD Sessions. I'm writing this post for both attendees of the session to have some notes and for people who were not at the session to hopefully get value from the discussion that happened there. As such, I'm trying to: Report and discuss the results of an introductory survey that I conduct (thanks to the suggestion via Conference Breakout Sessions ). This was more of a prompt than it really was a true survey.
