I was only at the conference briefly but had a great audience for my presentation with some great questions and discussion.

World of Learning Conference Review

Because those who were fortunate to attend the World of Learning Conference, everywhere they looked was a nugget of gold, especially those who used the dynamite technique of e-learning. A lot of talks of showing product, discussing deals, scheduling future meetings. There were a lot of custom (Bespoke) course vendors in attendance, not really a surprise, because I see a huge swath of them at other conferences around the world.

I have checked out the conference program for you so you can see if there is anything of interest for you. This is hopefully helpful if you are attending, but if you do not go to Orlando there are many ways to tap into the rich conference resources. This conference has been run for a few years now and is tentatively scheduled for November 15-17 this year. This is my attempt to collect some of what we’ve learned over the years doing those conferences. Open discussions have worked, but they are risky.

What did I learn the last few days at the guild conference? Coming from Europe it does take a lot of time and money to visit a conference like this. This means that we are discussing the future of e-Learning between digital immigrants. Are only the Guild masters present at this conference and did they leave their apprentices at home? Or was this conference representative for the guild population? This was my first Guild conference.
