Friday Finds: The Best of Learning, Design & Technology | November 6, 2020

“All life is an experiment. The more experiments you make the better.”

Ralph Waldo Emerson

Happy Friday! What a crazy week it has been for us here in the US. I am at a loss for words that can express my disappointment. One of the things that have given me valuable insights about what has been happening is Heather Cox Richardson’s “Letters from an American”. As a historian, her perspective has been invaluable to help parse the things that really matter from the chaos and insanity of the news. If you like informed and thoughtful narrative she is a must read.

Thanks for reading!

What I’m Listening to: Today definitely calls for something fun – this “Have a Great Day” playlist is gonna be on repeat around here.

How to design and implement an Onboarding campaign

This is a fantastic conversation with Simon Bertoli about how to create an Onboarding Campaign and some insights into some of the tools he uses to develop his work. Personally, I think everyone should be informed about how to use tools like @zapier and @mailchimp along with others to create dynamic learning campaigns.

Curators Are the New Creators

It’s becoming increasingly difficult to disaggregate signal from noise. As Robin Good said, in situations of information super-abundance people start to look for and appreciate the contribution from a trusted, expert guide who can provide them with “intellectual binoculars”.
