I may be pushing it a little, but have you tried FriendFeed yet? Those tools either push content to twitter, or pull content from twitter. I've just learned some cool new ways to use FF, and integrating twitter is only one of those ways. The funny thing is that most of the "high geeks" that I know don't actually "use" twitter.

Buzz can also aggregate content from other social sharing sites, Flicks, Picasa, Twitter, and YouTube. Every Buzz item can be turned into a conversation (like in Friendfeed or Wave.) Over a period of usage, as you comment, like or dislike buzz entries that come from those you follow, the buzz cloud adapts.

I wanted to provide a more in-depth post that shows how you can create your own learning portal using the freely available content management system, WordPress. RSS has blown up the content-only portal funded through advertising but the wide adoption of Twitter is giving content publishers a new push mechanism to get eyeballs to their sites.
