Adobe Flash is dying. Long ago Steve Jobs stopped the usage of Flash in Apple devices. But, ever since Google announced that it would block flash in its browsers, the impact has been huge. Also, most of the Android devices too do not support Flash. Also, most of the Android devices too do not support Flash.

Ability to convert various types of video formats to other video formats. Flash vs. HTML5. I am seeing many vendors still offering the ability to output screen recording and video to flash. Those who do offer both Flash and HTML5 are missing a simple and essential item to their arsenal.

Some vendors push heavily on PPT, implying that a great WBT is really a PPT converted to Flash. Flash output – still red hot. It’s bizarre really, when SaaS is red hot in every other e-learning segment and yet in RCAT, desktop still rules. HTML5 is the new “Green” Get it now.

I’ve always found this product to be the top of the line for PowerPoint to Flash course builds. It is easy to use and once you learn it, easy to push out content. But, from an e-learning developer standpoint, the thought of using a template is the same as painting with numbers. Articulate. Adobe Captivate.
