Not only that, if at all anything goes wrong with the software, say a technical glitch, the vendor will look into it and resolve it for you. ePub3 format includes images, media, style sheets, audio, video, text-to-speech and many more functionalities which are required for an eBook. Amazon, for example, does not support ePUB.

What always stuns me are vendors who state they know what their learners want, but in reality have no clue, because they themselves do not see the technology and its usage among the masses. Web conferencing vendors can establish themselves to expand beyond the meeting standard. Converters. Online Storage i.e online hard drives.

Vendors can move up, down or out of the rankings – after all it is on-going. I’m not a lead gen for the vendors listed – rather the goal is to provide you with vendors that meet numerous criteria including UI, features, support/service, mobile, feedback from current and past clients and future game plans.

I am still surprised on how vendors who are offering assessment only tools are staying in the game. Some vendors push heavily on PPT, implying that a great WBT is really a PPT converted to Flash. One vendor focuses only on Blackberry (not just Playbook but their smartphone like product). Jump on the Bandwagon.

The two biggest negatives IMO, is that it just isn’t robust enough for e-learning developers and its whole focus on PPT into converting to a course doesn’t help. HTML5 output, publish to the iPad and text to speech functionality. Screen capture – more and more vendors are adding it. Yeah, people love it.
