What I am hearing and seeing in E-Learning

It comes from me talking to vendors, buyers, monitoring the industry all the while taking notes and seeing the trends/patterns appear right before my eyes. What has always amazed me are number of e-learning vendor web sites whose design looks like it came from 1995 when Netscape ruled the land. Frankly, it is unreal.

E-Learning Screen recording and video solutions – Should b simple, so why isn’t it?

There are dozens of free audio plugins available on the net, so why aren’t screen capturing/recording vendors offering the ability for the end user to add them? There is something wrong when a free and open source product like Audacity can do it, yet a product that costs hundreds of dollars cannot. E-Learning 24/7.

Lower cost and the locations of their personnel and other clients. Vendors are finally getting it and realizing that the end user in fact is essential to the client’s success. If I have those skill sets, why would I want to be an administrator of a LMS, when I could work free-lance or in some other programming capacity?

Product Review: Totara

Unless their is some group component here or the psuedo Facebook angle, I see no real gain. Are hosting costs universal? I have no problem recommending this system and have it listed as number 25 in my top 25 learning management systems of 2012. It is sooo boring. Online Users – Why as an end user would I care?
