More vendors enabling the use of APIs – i.e. people can create their own API and integrate them into the LMS/Learning Portal vendor’s system, this equally means you can create mashups too. So, why then would you not want to know the price – at least the street price, up front. Issue resolved.

BTW, one vendor told me, “they can export it into another database or program for deeper analysis” (congrats, this is the worst idea ever. Yes, you get the card or however it is built-in, but you still need a service to use it – and 4G costs are high, especially when it comes to data plans. Bottom Line.

If you as the customer want to create your own API/Mashup or find one on the net and want to integrate it into your paid LMS, the vendor will charge you. Why the extra fee for a vendor to integrate it into their system. They will argue it is time and labor costs for the person doing it. Mobile Learning and Tablets.
