My last post mentioned the way to set up an owned server, for getting the Captivate quiz results. This blog highlights the new Results analysis tool, which can be used to view the results stored on your servers. The authors had to use some LMS (SumTotal, NetDimensions, Moodle, etc) OR the Email reporting feature of Adobe Captivate.

I am projecting that by the end of 2012, you will see HRIS features come into play, but more so as an additional cost module. Systems that are only available as hosted on your own servers are starting to significantly decline. Oh, they offer SaaS for a fee, but you can host it on your own servers for free. Prediction.

Cannot skin on the SaaS version and even if you host it on your own servers you have to do it via CSS code (this is not uncommon in the VLP market, but it still is a minus in book). Other fee is hours to use – which the base is 6,000 users at the cost of $3,000 USD. SumTotal: Expensive system and what you are buying is name IMO.

In fact there are systems that cost less than 25K that are excellent. Q: Saba, SumTotal, Cornerstone, Taleo, SuccessFactors must be the best because a lot of people buy these systems.
