The hype on the product was huge, after all, the company’s revenue has increased significantly over the past two years. Search Connect – their search capability within the product. Leader board within “Connect” their social learning component – however, I did not see any type of incentive tied to it.

Less functionality and features than their standard counterparts, but these features may be “social learning&# , or “ability to tie a user to a course&# or “creating learning paths for each user&# or “assessment tools&# , etc. Course Authoring Tool. My Courses. Group-Sub-Group functionality.

What always stuns me are vendors who state they know what their learners want, but in reality have no clue, because they themselves do not see the technology and its usage among the masses. Each one is available today on the Internet for free and these types of products are gaining mass in the global market. Online Storage i.e

. #20 eLab - The user interface is intriguing and enables anyone to build a course, without having the typical “ooh that looks so lame” with some rapid content authoring tools. Of course it can still look lame – the course that is – but that isn’t because of the product, rather umm (well you know who).

Just as in any industry there are people who lie or as we say “misrepresented” their product. I have run into the same issue – salespeople who say their product does A but in reality it does not. . Or they send the RFP after a discussion, but before seeing the product. It hurts everyone. I love this one.
