As you may know, Linden, on October 4th, announced a plan to raise prices for educational and non-profit users of Second Life and not a little increase, a whopping doubling of the previous discount. Could be a brilliant move in saving the company, time will tell.

First, it looks as though Linden Labs, the developers behind Second Life, may be downsizing their corporate efforts ( Second Life Enterprise Edition ). Two sources indicate that Linden may actually be shutting down their Enterprise operations. Some interesting developments in the 3D Learning and Collaboration Space.

Yesterday, Philip Linden (AKA: Philip Rosedale ) stepped down as CEO of Linden Labs (yes again). Bob will lead Linden Lab while we conduct the search. He said many longtime Second Life users are angry at the recent decisions by the company that runs the service, Linden Lab. He has done this before and then come back.

Its currency is the Linden Dollar (L$) which avatars can use to buy virtual goods and even virtual property. Linden Dollars are bought with real money and can be exchanged back again. Consider the following possibilities for customers : A virtual island where visitors can come to learn about your products and services.

What we have are multiple channels ( Virtual World News , Massively ), including official ones from River Runs Red and Linden Lab , bringing us the news that Immersive Workspaces 2.0 A well-played move is that Rivers Run Red has explained "that if customers buy into IWS 2.0, "Your avatar got so drunk at the holiday party.?"
