Go to any content provider (okay most of them) and you will found leadership, business, safety, communication, customer service, compliance and some types of software training. Sure you can watch a video on Salesforce CRM or Lotus 1-2-3, but people learn best when the content is interactive and mimics the product.

What makes mini reviews different than my other product reviews? I mean it is a brand name, “Linkedin” and the content/courses come from “Lynda.com”, but if you are expecting a major rock star product, I’m sorry this is not it. Red unhappy face – means poor, below poor, yuck. No screens, nothing.

I am not going to say that all the seminars for these events are the best, because let’s be honest, it depends on the speaker, but just for the products, the learning, networking, blah blah, it is worth it. If it is like Lotus 1-2-3, forget it – no one is using that unless they are still using floppy discs at your workplace.

These are being reported out of the larger eLearningGuild population and I would claim that they are likely more accurate than survey research that goes through the vendors themselves. Several of the LMS vendors appear more than once, such as Oracle. Most of the time (as is the case with Oracle) these are different products.
