Instructional design was actually being used. Formal and Informal – That’s right, it wasn’t all formal, nor was it designed to be. Because of the way the courses were designed. But because the approach of the course design, the ability to see exactly where the learner was going, was there.

I am not an instructional designer. I mean it screams Plateau and Knowledge Planet. I’ve seen game templates that would have rocked during Commodore days or SNES, but not today. Interactive in templates is questionable. So why do folks love course templates? Time savers and easy to use and implement. .
