So we are off to an excellent start with DevLearn. I don’t know what the adoption will actually mean but it sounded like TinCan will be the next version of IACC. Ans it is important it determines the effectiveness of your Learning experiences.

This week I attended my first DevLearn, and as hyped as it was in the months prior to the event, it did not disappoint. DevLearn is one of the largest events in the learning industry; according to the conference website, 1,747 people registered for the event.

I heard rumors back when people were paying attention, that they were going to release an enterprise version, but that seems to have fizzled out. Another DevLearn workshop I got a lot out of was “Opportunities for Performance Support” with Allison Rossett. In many cases if not most, a job aid or tool can be more effective than investing in ILT or eLearning. First on my list is Job Aids & Performance Support which seems to be a more updated version of her earlier book First things fast I was excited to meet Allison because she is a professor in the educational technology program at San Diego State.

Fresh off a training session with Pooja at DevLearn, I felt like I had good handle on how fluid boxes would make life easier. Why we went to a second version: . Version 2: Breakpoints. I saw likely because the item does appear in all the versions, but it’s not usually where you want it. Version 3: Back to Fluid boxes.
