Many organizations have rules on using PowerPoint. How you use PowerPoint and its features is different; and so is the output. However, it never fails that once someone knows you’re using PowerPoint to build the rapid elearning course, they apply the same rules to your elearning course that they’d apply to presentations.

A few years back, I was at a workshop where the PowerPoint team was showing some of the new features in the soon-to-be-released PowerPoint 2010. The PowerPoint developer demonstrated how to customize the ribbon toolbar in PowerPoint. Creating custom shapes is buried in PowerPoint and not easy to find.
