Wow, had a great 3 days at DevLearn, met some absolutely wonderful, fascinating and brilliant folks. DevLearn presentation on Future of Learning from Karl Kapp. The Proteus Effect: Implications of transformed digital self-representation on online and offline behavior. He’s giving a talk on xAPI at DevLearn this Friday, “ xAPI 201: Move from Experimentation to Mastery.” Mobile applications: Mobile applications can capture xAPI data offline, store it and then send it to other systems when back online. Go live, and offline, work with Helium, then when ready = push it go live. Cohort-based is ongoing, because of the social interaction, user generated content, and duality methods of communication (video, audio, real-time, with offline too, via your mobile app would be a good idea). That’s groups. I should see that at your booth.

Here at DevLearn 2011 in Las Vegas I've got authoring tools on my mind. Enterprise users will have the option to work offline and then synch to the cloud. Because I have been able to take a look at two new tools today, which I'm sure are going to have a major impact. The have one thing in common and lots of differences.

The problem with yes/no questions is that you can’t fully qualify your opinion. It begs another format to strengthen your position and discuss it in more detail.

The newest version adds an adaptive learning capability, which I saw first hand at DevLearn – it was extremely impressive and extremely rare in this space. Online/Offline synch comes with the tool – a requirement for any RCAT that offers m-learning IMO, especially one where people build courses.
