Sometimes you win, and sometimes you learn
It was a lot of fun to be part of Robin Petterd’s Learning While Working Virtual Conference this week. This second edition was even bigger and better than the first. A huge thank you to Robin for inviting me and everyone behind the scenes who make it all happen. Watch this space and I’ll let you know when the recordings are available. Its Time to Introduce ILT 2.0
I agree with Bob Mosher (@bmosh) that instructor-led classroom training can be a valuable part of a learning program and also that it can often be poorly or improperly implemented. Say hello to Presenter Coach, PowerPoint’s new AI-powered tool which will help you nail your next presentation
Microsoft has revealed a whole host of new intelligent AI-powered PowerPoint features including Presenter Coach – a new feature which will train you to improve your presentation and public speaking skills. Presenter Coach lets you enter rehearsal mode, providing on-screen guidance for pacing, inclusive language, use of profanity, filler words and culturally insensitive phrases. At the end of each session, a detailed report with metrics for additional practice is also provided.
Private or Incognito Browsing
I’ve been a huge fan of Common Craft videos for a long, long time. If you aren’t hip to the incognito feature of your web browser you need to stop what you’re doin’ and watch this one. I use this a lot and once you know about it you probably will too! Incognito mode is great for testing file share links among others. (If you already know this one, share it with your friends – they probably don’t)
