Development Tools - Should I Cut Out the Middle Guy?

It has gotten to a point where some of my courses are all developed in Flash and the e-learning authoring tools (DHTML) have been used more as a "shell" that decompiles it as a SCORM package. The learning interactions can be used for multiple types of quiz questions that will be tracked by a learning management system (LMS).

Ideally when we launch course content from LMS we open it in new popup window, so that course gets its own desirable window size. SCORM has provisions to track time spent by the user in session. Normally the setTimeOut() function is used to track time. If you are targeting such a browser time tracking may not happen.

Keeping Up - April's Big Question

When I do find interesting tools I will keep track of them using my Delicious account. So, I browsed "Tools" by keyword on eLearningLearning. I also like to make occasional visits to Google Labs and Adobe Labs to "keep up" with the tech tools they are working on and to test drive any beta versions available.
