Jane: Social learning can still be structured i.e., take place within a formal course environment. For instance, I am currently running a formal programme where the group is using many different technologies to share and collaborate—social bookmarking, discussions, wikis, blogging, file sharing, etc. Tell us how below.

Privacy Policy. Perhaps pose fun questions or topics they can discuss and make sure they know it is OK to have a fun, lighthearted discussion. Incorporating social media can help make this happen. Its privacy policies are questionable and it is giving out user information to applications willy-nilly. In fact, LMS, Elgg, Flickr, del.icio.us, Wikis, Blogs, Discussion Groups, Amazon, hmmm, the list gets long quickly. and Multiple Social Networks.

It was designed to be a small to medium size group discussion, but because the room was large it was very challenging to do that successfully. I discussed a bit of these issues in First Thoughts After ASTD Sessions. Provide thoughts around the content and the discussion. However, the discussion quickly lost steam.
