You should, because this system’s user interface is crisp, clean and frankly a breeze to use. Its a hybrid of a learning platform, learning exchange and social collaboration. Learning activities.

It was a confusing challenge for me, because it offers so much capabilities and strengths, so I define it as a true social learning management system (standalone) that offers extra power for a customer to select specific apps and use them in the customer’s portal or web site or in some fashion with their own learning management system.

On the vendor side, nice set to select from although on the freebie side – always is lame. Vendor Angle. A must for any e-learning vendor. That said, vendors have found the show overall to be a mixed bag. A lot of people interested in learning management systems and authoring tools. .

Oh, excuse me – social networking to most of the vendors who spin it under the guise of social learning. I won’t constantly bore you on their Facebook, Twitter like components, nor discussion board or text chat, but seriously.who thinks this is engaging and interactive? What about Twitter? One way really.

Unless their is some group component here or the psuedo Facebook angle, I see no real gain. I have no problem recommending this system and have it listed as number 25 in my top 25 learning management systems of 2012. And frankly, that isn’t something most vendors would want. It is sooo boring.

Even more important, a learning management system was a new concept, so having to ask for X, when your budget has always been Y, isn’t an easy sell, especially when ROI is discussed. Facebook is not a driver for sales, and social media is in fact, one component of an effective digital marketing strategy.

What makes this system unique is what it comes with as part of its system, beyond its e-commerce capability. Social Learning Management System of the Year. In my opinion, an absolutely wonderful system in terms of a LMS with social learning functionality. Use Skype within their system.

Real surprise the number of vendors who make no mention of Workday or even know who they are. Social learning – snooze fest, but few vendors now offering Facebook SSO and Twitter integration. Instant messaging. How many have Pinterest integration?

UI is very good, but I’m expecting more from this system since they seem to be stuck in a perpetual mode. Totara - While I’m not overly impressed with its UI, the system has an uber set of features. VkClass - System is for the education market and is built similar to Facebook, as a result the UI is crisp and clean.

Other standard favorites included some type of “event management” albeit the term wasn’t necessarily used. The problem though is what should be universal standards – and for the vast majority are – there are still learning management systems that just fail to grasp that concept.

Buyers and Sellers of courses who can then use the course in any learning management system, so they are not tied to one LMS, is happening. Today, there is a real tiny number of e-learning companies offering it, but considering only one truly began it in 2010, it makes sense that it is going to grow.
