Twitter has APIs, so does Facebook, even Linkedin. However there are vendors who sell their API solution wrapped in a piece of software. SCORM Player communicating with your vendor’s solution, for example, if you were creating your own LMS and Rapid Intake’s rapid e-learning authoring tool, it includes a SCORM Player API.

Less vendors are offering the HTML5 output, which seems to be strange, especially as more e-learning vendors as a whole are jumping right in. Playback formats for iOS devices including iPad, media players, other tablets, Sony PSP and Sony Playstation 3. That’s fine. Audio conversion within the product.

Is it a blu-ray player? Problems with recording audio. Problems abound within the product – not bugs mind you, just poor processes (IMO). Maybe send link to Linkedin or Twitter or Facebook or whatever. But for others, they take the time to put a bow on it. Wrap it in beautiful paper and add a card. A gift card?

Here is the thing, what these vendors fail to understand is these markets are selecting open source solutions, often for the following. A huge problem in the space. Go to some vendor sites and try to figure out what exactly are they offering. Assumption it is turnkey or out of the box ready. Tailoring to meet their needs .

As a former training director I had enough problems with users buzzing me about whatever, but having the name of the vendor too would not be good. E-commerce fee per year. E-Commerce with many vendors is included nowadays. Great educational learning management system. Facebook and SMS (text) notifications.
