LMS Vendors: U Can Survive – Innovate, Invigorate and Invent

It was within these comments, that afterwords, I decided to expand a bit plus identify other areas that I see, LMS vendors must explore – which they have not yet done so, to re-energize themselves. Thus, the LMS vendors are creating a Bogeyman – their own bogeyman, and it does not have to be that way. Majority of employees access a LMS or Learning Portal out of the workplace. Far too many LMS vendors are stuck in a rut. Social Learning.

LMS Vendors and Tablets Update. That said, why is this happening: A significant (over 90%) of vendors are holding off this year and at least part of next year from optimizing their solution to the iPad. Over 98% do not have a true HTML5 player in their system that can run a 100% pure HTML5 course – which by the way, has nothing to do with the browser agnostic pitch they make about their system being optimized for the iPad. Oh, e-readers – sure down the pipeline. Firefox 4.0

Product Review: GeoLearning GeoMaestro

Non-Java player for HTML5 courses and thus viewable on tablets. Social Learning standard features – Lame. Social Learning add on module – Not a lot for what you get at an additional cost. It is truly amazing on how vendors seem to think lots of stuff on the page, is the way to go and navigation is just a requirement. Why vendors still think this is not needed or used, makes no sense. Social Learning. E-Learning 24/7.
