Avatars sound very cool and they are being used. Simply put, one vendor has over 200 Flash-based templates in their product. Another vendor I spoke with, is offering 80 templates. Other vendors are falling suit. It is the only e-learning solution that I know of, that offers it. HTML5: Must be a Fad.

People in the booth that actually know the product inside and out – I’m surprised on how this continues to be a problem at a lot of e-learning shows; some companies stock their booths with people who are very nice, but really do not have any knowledge on the product, beyond what they read on the product sheet they are handing you.

Innovation abounded and the push to focus on the “PPT to Flash&# angle continued to shine. 2010 E-Learning 24/7 Awards (No official icon logo handed out to winners, rather just a “WHOO-HOO&# – uh, you can make that sound to yourself.thank you). Some acquisitions, some goodbyes, but overall very strong.

Numerous steps to view in HTML5. “Upload your content to a web server, you just give your learners a link to the story.htm file” – This is to view the course in HTML5 on your iPad. Sound – from file, record mic (built into the system, of course you need a headset with a mic or a mic itself). Left Slide.

Because the industry as a whole is a lemming, I expect more vendors to come on board. HTML5 output. Right now I am doing a survey on authoring tools (more on this at the end of the post) and so far 100% of all respondents state that HTML5 output is required in an authoring tool. HTML5 templates. So what is missing?

Many companies now look forward to buying good authoring tools or hiring the right e-learning vendors who can address the frequent training needs of organizations. Mobile-Friendly Courses: Authoring tools can easily publish courses in the HTML5 format which is mobile-friendly, and this is a big plus point of using these tools.
