Gamification – Another sizzling item, although it was misleading a bit – since there were resellers there for some of the vendors who were also there. I saw some “learning games” and with the exception of Gamelearn was seriously underwhelmed. One looked like freeware. E-Learning 24/7.

I would play this at home – too many game based learning solutions look like freeware or the old Atari games from the 80s. Looks like a game that people would want to play – i.e. cool graphics, interactive, engaging, fun. The game I saw was for time management and personal productivity. Works with mobile devices.

There are however, many freeware and lesser known authoring tools that might just do for you. Just google ‘free e-learning authoring tools’ and you will get a list of latest articles giving recommendations. Investing in authoring tools or outsourcing to an e-learning vendor costs money.
