All they care about is whether the system is in “the cloud” SaaS or “in the cloud” to the consumer means that is it hosted on your servers or wherever you host your LMS and they can access it via the internet regardless of where they are located as long as they have an internet connection. What is of note, is that this is not new in terms of systems being offered “in the cloud” This was happening back when e-learning began, with quite a few systems in the cloud by 2002. Systems that are only available as hosted on your own servers are starting to significantly decline. Open Source Systems.

Kineo Partners handle hosting (if you want it) and support, rather than Kineo Group. Charge extra for hosting – Kineo Pacific told me 6K to host, Kineo Group told me 12K to 18K to host including support. Seems to focus more on client side server, when space as a whole is focused more on SaaS. What I Disliked.

SaaS or on your own servers – they can do both, but ideally prefer SaaS (they host it). – always check with the vendor – they all support HD. your own logo (not all the vendors offer this option. If your VLP is on your own servers most of the vendors will allow you to customize the CSS.

What vendors fail to tell you, unless you press them, is you can actually use an API (open source) solution and integrate it yourself.
