You can’t live without it – but unless you want to be able to only see your courses on tablets that only support flash (and they all also support HTML5) or have zero desire to see your courses on the iPads (which support only HTML5), you will need to face reality. If I am new to management, why only enable them to communicate and learn from within, when they can (and most likely do so via social media) communicate and learn from others, outside your company? As a result, you now have another channel for learning. Best of all, as technology evolves, this form of learning evolves too.

As in other e-learning markets, vendors seem bent on staying with smartphones for RCAT and not focusing nor utilizing the capabilities of tablets – especially iPad/iPad2 and to a latter degree Android. One vendor focuses only on Blackberry (not just Playbook but their smartphone like product).
