E-learning is happening all the time, but sometimes that can cause problems when your security details are shared with unwanted people. Issues arise when the company’s LMS gets hacked or when a MOOC’s website is compromised. Also, the user data must be protected on the server’s end.

If the vendor has load balance (which anyone who has servers should), then the bandwidth claim just doesn’t fly – not even in a spaceship to Mars - unless you i.e. the customer is having internal issues with your network lines or your own servers. They do not have servers with load balance.

My latest take on those three vendors (plus one) are: Cornerstone On Demand – I have seen the new UI and I like what I saw. The problem though is it is not throughout the entire system, rather it is in a few areas. They also have a lot of partnerships with LMS vendors – so that adds to an additional distribution channel. .

All they care about is whether the system is in “the cloud” SaaS or “in the cloud” to the consumer means that is it hosted on your servers or wherever you host your LMS and they can access it via the internet regardless of where they are located as long as they have an internet connection. In today’s corporate world, you can not toss a rock in any direction without someone mentioning SharePoint as the glorious solution for social learning and in many cases a LMS. Then after it is wrapped – you zing it into a LMS or on your own web server and expect it to work. If you are having the problem, others will to. . If there is not a forum, contact the vendor’s support staff and have them work with you to solve it. E-Learning 24/7. But did you know. Bottom Line.
