Offers Lectora (rapid content authoring tool) as a separate option which can integrate with GeoMaestro. Social Learning standard features – Lame. Social Learning add on module – Not a lot for what you get at an additional cost. What I do not like is the selection of Lectora. Social Learning.

This is Plateau’s social learning component, and it reminds me of a cross between a COP (Community of Practice) with some social learning functionality. Kodak embraced them to a point, but kept their initial camera products. Too many vendors (inc. Some purists see mashups as another social media type.

Of course it can still look lame – the course that is – but that isn’t because of the product, rather umm (well you know who). 19 Zenler Studio - I liked this product last year (2012) and I still find it quite favorable. No reason, I just love saying that) Mzinga shows up with a true social learning authoring tool.

best products that work under water (summer time) and from the e-learning prospective – the best authoring tools. 10: TechSmith Camtasia Studio – I’ve debated numerous times if a product that is more of a screen recorder with added feature sets deserves to be in an authoring tool set. and SCORM/AICC.

interfaces directly with the product (ribbon? Lectora’s Snap! is not the only product which has an issue with a 64 bit Windows computer but in combination with PPT 2010, I’m unaware of any other. Lectora Snap! When I looked at the product, I immediately thought on the song by Snap – called Power!

Mobile Learning. Let’s see – what is the fastest e-learning subset ever to garner audience interest for all solutions? Hmm, oh yeah mobile learning. It has blown past social learning, and continues to roll. Composica – Always strong in feature sets and was a vendor to watch in 2010.
